People passing by through the Shyam Vihar area near the new RTO Office found a dead body of a man lying in a 5 foot deep pit, today morning. A motorcycle was also lying on the spot.
The Police was informed immediately; as per the Police, primafacie it was considered as an accident and the body was shifted to mortuary for postmortem.
The man was identified as Mohit Lal Menaria, 26 years, resident of Mauda area of Bansi Village. The body was identified on the basis of a Voter ID Card that was found in the pocket of the deceased. After getting information of the mishap, the police team including DySP Anant Kumar rushed to the scene and shifted the body to the Mortuary at MB Hospital.
The family members of the deceased were informed immediately about the mishap and the Police is looking further into the case.
Kumar Informed that it seem to be a case of drunk driving and because of that he might have lost his control on his bike and would have fallen into the pit. Factual information still needs to be collated, but the Police are initially considering it to be a case of road accident.
The investigation officer also informed that the bike found on the accident sit, considered to be the deceased’s, was taken into custody and shifted to the Sukher Police Station.
Sources informed that the dead man was a student of Arts and staying at Hiran Magri area in a rented room.
