20 cows that were being taken to Gujarat for selling have been rescued from nomads.
Members from National Youth Brigade rescued 20 cows near RK Puram Girija Vyas Petrol pump late Saturday night. The cows were being taken to Gujarat for the purpose of selling.
CI Dhanpat Singh said that police reached the site as per information given by the members of National Youth Brigade. Upon interrogation, the nomads (banjaras) said that they had bought the cows from Dabok and were taking them away to be sold in Balicha. Police suspected a foul play and had the cows sent to the Gaushala. The nomads were taken to the police station for further investigation.
Members of the National Youth Brigade said that the cows are in a poor state of health. The nomads could not give a satisfactory reply towards the health of cows. They had a truck in which they were planning to take the cows to Gujarat.
