Situation turned chaotic at an Aadhar Card Booth at Sector 14, when few applicants blamed the booth attendants for taking Rs. 100 bribe from everyone for Aadhar Card registration. The tense situation was later controlled by police; however no police complaint was lodged.
According to sources, today at 11 in the morning, few people standing in a queue of Aadhar Card registration started blaming that the booth attendants were demanding Rs. 100 bribe from everyone, which was unlawful.
Considering the complaint, a team of police from Hiran Magri Police Station arrived and detained two men working at the booth.
The attendants denied of demanding money, but confessed for being partial in giving first preference to the known ones. Police later confirmed with those who complained, however they refused to lodge formal complaint.
