An 18-year old boy, who had gone for a picnic with his friends, drowned in a swimming pool yesterday. The incident happened at Kalika resort situated on Bhinder-Keer ki Chowki road, some 50kms from Udaipur.

The deceased, Jagdish, had gone to Kalika resort with five of his friends yesterday. Jagdish jumped into the swimming pool at the resort soon after reaching there. During this time, his other friends were taking off their clothes.

When the friends reached near the pool, they did not spot him. After about 5 minutes, they found Jagdish drowned in the pool. His friends urgently got him out and tried to pump water out of his body. Jagdish however did not respond. His friends then took him to Bhinder hospital where he was pronounced dead.

His friends then informed his relatives and Police. Police registered a report and gave the body to his relatives after a post mortem was performed at the hospital.
