More than 30 people of a family, including 10 children were seriously injured while other passengers sustained minor injuries, when their Bus rolled over.

More than 30 people of a family, including 10 children were seriously injured while other passengers sustained minor injuries, when their Bus rolled over.

In the incident that occurred on Sunday evening, the Bus which was heading toward Udaipur from Idona Mata Temple at Sakroda overturned after the driver lost control allegedly due to being drunk.  The mishap occurred near Meetha Neem area of Sakroda

All the injured were rushed to M.B Hospital in Udaipur.

70 People get Injured as Bus Crashes70 members of a family living at Titardi area of the city were returning back to Udaipur in a bus from Idona Mata temple situated 50 Kms away from the city.  They had gone there in the morning hours to attend a Religious ceremony organized by one of their relative, Kanhaiya Lal of Udaipur, said Deepak Sahu, one of the victims.

Deepak further informed that while they were returning back to Udaipur from the temple, the driver of their bus was unable to drive the bus since he was drunk.  When they reached near Meetha Neem, the driver lost control of the bus and in an attempt to save a cow that was crossing the road, hit a car passing by, which caused the bus to roll over.  The driver of the bus fled away from the scene leaving the passengers there, who were later rescued from the scene by the locals and the police and were immediately rushed to M.B hospital

On getting information of the mishap a team of local police also rushed to the hospital for verification of the incident.

Seeing such a big number of injured and also the seriousness of the situation the Superintendent of M.B Hospital, Dr. Tarun Gupta and Senior Doctors and the Principal of RNT Medical College, Dr. D.P Singh reached the hospital to assess the condition of the patients.
