On Wednesday night, Municipal Corporation and UIT came into action when Collector Anandi issued strict directives to remove the illegally installed cabins at Fatehsagar. Vacation time became an alibi for the vendors who installed cabins illegally 2 days back at the chowpati.

There are strict instructions from the High Court that no unauthorised cabin or commercial activity can be carried out at lakeside. Despite this, 2 cabins were found. It may be noted that one illegal cabin was removed in the month of April. Reportedly, the very same cabin was put up again. After the directives issued by the Collector, the authorities removed the cabin and hauled it away to the UIT office the same night.

A big cabin was also found which was made by joining 2 cabins which was 20 feet long 10 feet wide and too heavy to be lifted by crane. This cabin will either be removed on Thursday by means of a bigger crane and trolla or will probably be cut with gas cutter.
