The plea for withdrawing the stay on food court construction at Swaroop Sagar has been rejected by the High Court. Lake Conservation Committee had appealed to Jodhpur High Court that Municipal Corporation’s plans of food court alongside Swaroop Sagar must be rejected with immediate effect as the construction would pollute the water body. Following this appeal, Justice Lodha had issued directives to stop construction and had asked the concerned people to reply to the notification within 4 weeks. Meanwhile it was demanded by the concerned parties that the stay be called off which has been rejected by the court.

It may be noted that as per the plan, construction of a 25 feet long platform had begun on which 16 food cabins were to be made at Swaroop Sagar.
