Municipal Corporation demolished the illegal construction on the ground of Dwarkadheesh Temple in Ashok Nagar on Monday. There were complaints of illegal construction on the temple ground and it was long since the members of religious communities had lodged complaints on this issue.

As per reports, Vinod Mehta had constructed a roof on RCC columns in the temple ground. Prima facie the construction was being done for commercial purposes. After receiving constant complaints, the teams of Municipal Corporation reached Dwarkadheesh Temple around 10:30 a.m. on Monday to demolish this illegally built structure. Mehta reportedly obstructed the work for 2 hours saying that he had obtained stay orders from the court. When asked for the copy of the stay orders, Mehta could not produce the papers after which the teams punctured the roof and then demolished the structure.
