Kataria launches 8 City Buses, proposes 4 more buses from MLA quota

Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria inaugurated the city bus services at Town hall premises today. On this occasion, 8 city buses were unveiled which will provide cheap, safe commuting to the residents. During the ceremony he also proposed introducing 4 more buses from MLA quota.

Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria inaugurated the city bus services at Town hall premises today. On this occasion, 8 city buses were unveiled which will provide cheap, safe commuting to the residents. During the ceremony he also proposed introducing 4 more buses from MLA quota.

He said that the monthly passes will be available to school students and senior citizens at discounted price. Besides this, he emphasized various means to beautify the city and make an attempt for its growth.

Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari informed that various measures are in the pipeline for Udaipur’s fast growth in terms of availability of 7 fire stations, LED lights in the entire city, colorful lights at tourist spots, water distribution through tankers at remote areas, provision of poster-less city, waste management, establishment of food court and demolishing encroachments in the city etc.

Deputy Mayor Lokesh Dwivedi said that in the first stage, commencement of 8 city buses have started on two major routes. The 24-seater buses have been made with a budget of Rs. 70.49 Lac.

In the launching ceremony, delegates including Shantilal Meghwal, Sunderlal Bhanawat, Dr. Geeta Patel, Yudhishthir Kumawat, Pramod Samar and many others were present.
