In a reshuffle before the upcoming assembly election, Rajasthan Government released transfer orders of 75 IPS officers across the State. Kunwar Rashtradeep has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police (SP), Udaipur.

State Government released the transfer order late last night. Current SP of Udaipur, Rajendra Prasad Goyal has been transferred as the SP, Crime Branch, Jaipur. Goyal will be replaced as SP of Udaipur by Kunwar Rashtradeep.

Kunwar Rashtradeep was serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Jaipur East.

The transfers have been done in the wake of upcoming State Assembly elections. This has also come on the advisory of election commission to transfer people who have spent a long time at one location. Also, IPS officers of the 2013 batch are also awaiting posting and hence this move was expected.

Rajendra Prasad Goyal had been serving as SP of Udaipur for around 3 years now.
