Nagar Nigam has issued a letter, which states that Nagar Nigam will issue Rs. 1 Crore for the development of second entry at the City railway Station once the work order for the same is released.

The letter which was addressed to Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Ajmer was sent after Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari and DRM Naresh Salocha met for discussing the possibility of second entrance for City Railway Station, Udaipur.

Furthermore, once the work order is released Nagar Nigam will arrange the rest of the amount, which is Rs. 50 lac with the help of either of UIT, RSMM, Hindustan Zinc or MLA Fund.

On the other positive side, Railway has already started working for the second entrance where pits and gaps have been filled with construction material and is being leveled now. Also, two iron spans are built which will increase the over bridge height to 48 meters.

As per Mayor, though he has the right to issue up to Rs. 2 Crores in funds, a meeting will be conducted where the proposal will be passed by the board to maintain transparency.

“We are all geared up for the construction of the passenger block (which will have a ticket counter) and as soon as the amount will be credited in the account, our engineers will start working.”, as per DRM, Naresh Salocha.
