Government hotels must be publicised to promote tourism. A strong marketing is needed for Anand Bhawan and RTDC hotels.

In a meeting in Hotel Anand Bhawan on Monday, Chief Administrative Secretary of Tourism, art and culture and Department of Forest and environment Dr. Subodh Agrawal said that government hotels are suffering a lot due to lack of publicity among tourists. He said that marketing for these government hotels must be done matching the marketing levels of private hotels.

Dr. Subodh also said that private hotels reap the benefits of their marketing strategies. Similar steps must be taken for government hotels viz. Anand Bhawan and RTDC hotels, too. He said that since government hotels are situated on good locations, marketing efforts and publicity will bring in income via tourists. He also directed the representatives of Lok Kala Mandal to think of more ways and means to increase income. Agrawal also took details of light and sound systems at Chittorgarh and Kumbhalgarh forts. He said that if sound and light shows are run operated on PPP (Public-Private Partnership) mode, these can be used to attract more tourists regularly. He also laid emphasis on the conservation of historical buildings.
