UIT Announces Shop Auction among other development projects

Urban Improvement Trust (UIT) will be providing land to the Water Department at various places across the city, to set up drinking water facilities for residents of the city.  This was announced in the Trust meeting held at the Collectors office on Tuesday, 23rd June.

UIT Secretary Ramnivas Mehta and Collector Rohit Gupta sanctioned the land allotment to setup the potable water tanks, amidst approval from the other members present at the meeting.  The locations where land allottment will be done are as follows – Bappa Rawal Nagar, Sector 6 (800 SqMtr); Ramgiri Bedla (700 SqMtr); Vijaynager, Samtanagar, Bedla (650SqMtr); Mastan Baba area (1500 SqMtr); Dholi Magri Bedwas Nakodanagar I (700 SqMtr); Nakodanagar II (1000 SqMtr) and Nokadapuram (750 SqMtr).

The Trust also approved Shop auction at Sub City Centre, Savina and decided that Travel Agents registered with RTO till 2015 will be eligible for participating in the Auction.

Among other announcements, the members also passed a proposal for the construction of Fire Station at Titardi.  1000 SqMtr land will be allotted for this purpose and UIT will also facilitate the construction of the facility.

Katarias proposal for renovation of the dam (paal) at the old lake in Bedwas was also approved.  The Irrigation Department was given the responsibility of getting the renovation done, for which UIT will provide the funds.

There will be an entry fee of Rs. 5/- imposed on entry into Rajiv Gandhi Park, however there will be free entry from 6am-9am specifically to provide facilities to the morning walkers and exercise enthusiasts.

E-Auction facility for auctioning of land by UIT was also discussed and the Collector has emphasised on the need and urgency of such a system.  The trust also proposed allotting alternative land to the Krishi Upaj Mandi, in lieu of taking over their 16,100 sqft land which is overlapping on the 200ft at the South Extension Plan (Dakshin Vistaar Yojna) end.
