Construction committee of UMC took certain key decisions in its meeting on Friday. Few of the notable decisions include construction of underpass at Shakti Nagar – Bank Tiraha road, Foot over bridge at Bapu Bazaar – Town Hall and construction of an electric crematorium facility at Ahimsapuri crematorium.

Paras Singhvi, President of Construction Committee informed that approval has been provided for Rs 1 Cr for construction of foot over bridge from Bapu Bazaar road to Town Hall. Similarly, decision has also been taken for construction of underpass at Shakti Nagar – Bank Tiraha road.

Rs 1 Cr was also approved for setting up of an electric crematorium facility at Ahimsapuri crematorium. Currently, Ashok Nagar crematorium has gas based cremation facility.
