Constable Bhupendra Vyas is all set to represent Rajasthan in World Police and Fire games in Los Angeles. The event is to take place between 7th to 16th August where police of 70 nations will participate.
Udaipur police constable Bhupendra Vyas will participate in this event in LA. It has been reported that he will bear his own expenses to USA. Bhupendra Vyas has expressed his gratitude towards the senior police officers for allowing him to participate in this event on his personal expense.
Rajasthan State Power Lifting Association is disappointed with the fact that sportsmen do not get any facility and support from the police department. Secretary of the association, Vinod Sahu, said that Punjab, Haryana and Delhi police get better support from their departments as compared to Rajasthan. He even expressed his concern on the fact that had there been a better sports policy in Rajasthan, Bhupendra Vyas would have been on a higher position in the department. Sahu also added that the association would provide all possible support to Bhupendra Vyas.
Vyas said that his aim is to get a medal in the World Police games. Prior to this, he has won several medals on District, State and National levels. He refused to comment on the facilities given to the sportsmen by the department.
Recently, sportsmen from the police department had expressed their grief over improper facilities during State level Inter range Police boxing and wrestling competitions held in Maharana Pratap khel gaon. Winning medals on national level while on duty gets promotions for Rajasthan police, whereas sportsmen in Punjab and Haryana police are kept away from duty while on practice sessions.
Bhupendra Vyas’s attempt to create an honour for Rajasthan police on world level will not fail. His determination will get him the glory that he deeply and intensely wishes for.source : patrikanews
