Fireworks, Crowd and the burning evil: Dussehra concludes

Celebrating the victory of Goodness over Evil, gigantic effigies of Raavan were burnt to ashes country wide.

Raavan, along with his brothers, Meganath and Khumbhkaran, was killed in the epic war fought by Lord Ram against the evil forces of Raavan.

To celebrate the victory, quoted as the day of Dussehra, the monstrous effigies of Raavan, Meghnad and Kumbhkaran were flamed today at M. B. Stadium, commonly known as, Gandhi Ground Udaipur.

Amazing Fireworks, Ramlila play depicting the summary of this war in Ramayana was attended and enjoyed by thousands of people in the ground.

The gist of the day entails in the fact that we everyday face situations where we get to see both the faces of our ownself; the Ram side of our heart yells for Good, while the Raavan side inclines for Evil; at the end, it’s the choice we make that makes the difference and depicts our character.

We at UT, wish you a blissful Dussehra.

Devotees worship the Goddess Durga for 9 days and various programs and rituals follow accordingly, the most commonly known is the Garba.

The brightened, highly decorated and bejeweled idol of Goddess Durga will be placed in a gigantic auditorium full of worshippers; to see the other side of devotion which literally comes out only through faith is seen in the sculptors who craft these idols, shape them, color them and decorate them.

Our reporter and photographer Sohail Khan tried to get a zoomed angle on how the Sculptors create idols of deities with which we connect with our emotions, enthusiasm and religion.
