Along the lines of celebrity wax museum at Madame Tussauds, London, city of lakes, Udaipur now also has its own wax museum. The wax museum was recently inaugurated by Prince Lakshya Raj Singh Mewar.
The museum is situated on Sajjangarh Road opposite Mewargarh Hotel. It will be the first of its kind wax museum in the state. The museum will play host to wax sculptures of noted celebrities across the globe.
In the first phase statues of Mother Teresa, Barrack Obama, Sachin Tendulkar, Salman Khan, Jackie Chan, Arnold, Michael Jackson, Bruce Willis, Bruce Lee, Harry Potter will be installed amongst others. A total of 15 such statues are proposed in the first phase.
As per museum coordinator Uday Patil, this will the first of its kind museum in Rajasthan and the fifth such in the country. Lakshya Raj Singh Mewar called the museum a tourist attraction for not just Udaipurites but all visitors across the globe. He called the museum an important link in the tourism offerings of Udaipur.
The museum is expected to provide a selfie point for people to have their photographs clicked with noted celebrities. This is expected to be a big crowd puller.
