More than half a dozen persons have been injured seriously in a brutal clash between two groups over an alleged family dispute. The incident was reported today at 1pm at Bida Kachhi Basti (slum area) opposite the city Railway Station.

All injured were rushed to MB Hospital with fatal injuries on the head. Out of 9 people who were involved and hurt in the clash, 2 are said to be in a critical condition and have been shifted to a private hospital in Udaipur.

As per the Police, a fight broke out between Imran, Ishaq and Usman with Akhlaq and his brothers Faim, Usman, Mazhar and Azhar Khan both residents of Khanjipeer area.

In a complaint lodged by Imran, he was attacked by Mazhar and his brothers by swords and other sharp weapons due to which he with his brothers Ishaq & Usman got hurt badly.

However, no sources have confirmed the cause of the fight but it is alleged that there is prolonged family dispute between both the families over a property issue. Sources also confirm that all of them are having a number of registered cases against them in several police stations.

No arrests have been made by the Police, though investigation on the matter has started, says police officer Sobhagya Singh of the Surajpol Police Station.
