Udaipur was shocked by a shooting incident in broad day light today. The shooting took place at Patel Circle in the afternoon. The victim has succumbed to his injuries and the killers are absconding. Police have raised barricades across the city and police vehicles and personnel are spread across town following the incident.

Patel Circle, a usually normal location in the city, is located just next to the Railway Station and the Military cantonment. Today afternoon, a man, identified as Saddam alias Kaanda was shot at by unknown assailants. This caused panic in the area and police were called immediately to take the situation under control. The victim died on the spot. The body has been kept in the mortuary at the General Hospital.  SP Anant Kumar and DSP Rajeev Joshi also reached the spot to assess the situation and collect information.

The moment the police kept the body in the mortuary, members of the family of the victim as well as hooligans raided the hospital compound in numbers. Additional police was called to take the situation under control. The murderers are still at large as per latest information received. However, preliminary information obtained says that the reason for the shooting was personal rivalry and one of the shooters was suspected to be Nasir.
