A case has come to light where a duplicate key-maker robbed a house in Goverdhan Vilas area. The robbery was reported 12 days after the incident took place.

Reportedly, a duplicate key-maker turned burglar and made away with 7 tolas of gold from the house of the person who asked him to make duplicate keys. The case was reported by Tina Joshi, resident of RHB colony in Sector 14.

She said that she lost her scooty keys on 20^th October. There are many duplicate key-makers moving around in the colony, hence she called one of them. After the scooty key was made, she also asked this key-maker to make keys for her cupboard. In the meantime, the family members got busy with their daily routine work in the house itself. This was when the key-maker stole the opportunity and took all the gold from the locker in the cupboard and locked it again. No one imagined that they were inviting trouble by leaving the key-maker alone in the room.

When the family members opened the locker recently, they found that all the gold jewellery was gone. The key-maker is a suspect because he made the duplicate keys and after that the family did not even bother to check the cupboard or the locker. Also, no keys are missing and no locks have been found broken which could suggest a theft after that day.

Police is interrogating all the key-makers of that area.
