A father-son duo were admitted to the emergency ward at GBH American Hospital after being allegedly stabbed by an auto driver today evening around 6 at the Matt auto stand near the Bansi Pan cabin outside Bhupalpura.

Ravi Rameja, 29, owner of a wholesale vegetable shop and residing at 21, S- Road, Matt, Bhupalpura was injured on his right hand, while his father Arjun Rameja, 50, was admitted with injuries on his hand and abdomen.

The incident took place when they were on their way to Dr. Basant’s Eye Clinic and got into an argument with an auto driver, Akhlaq and his teenage son on the issue of blowing the horn when not being allowed to pass while driving.

“When Ravi and his father came out of their car to resolve the argument, Akhlaq along with his son abused the father-son duo and then attacked them using a sharp weapon”, said Chunni Lal, ASI Bhopalpura Police station.

Police have started investigating the case and have launched a search for Akhlaq and his son.
