A heavy altercation had taken place between BJP leader and councillor Parash Singhvi and Electricity Department AEN Sapna Jain with regards to a high electricity bill that Paras Singhvi had received for his firm. The altercation took place on Tuesday and the issue has gone out of proportion since then. Post this altercation, Sapna Jain was reprimanded by the electricity department and put on APO.

With respect to the incident, Sapna went ahead and filed a case against Paras Singhvi yesterday at Surajpole Police station. Sapna has alleged that Singhvi used inappropriate language, foul behavior and interfered in conduct of state business. Sapna has also challenged the APO awarded to her.

Investigation officer Rajesh Kumar said that they have recorded Sapna’s statement and are yet to record Singhvi’s statement.

Incidentally, only 10 days back Sapna was awarded by AVVNL Managing Director on the occasion of Independence Day.
