Policemen were attacked yesterday evening by mob on Bohra Ganeshji road when Police went there to investigate a case of land dispute. There was also an attempt to snatch the service revolver of Pratapnagar CI Hanwant Singh. The miscreants also damaged police vehicle via stone pelting. 5 people were finally arrested in the case.

Police had received complaint about illegal encroachment on a land space at Bohra Ganeshji road. When Police reached the spot, members of the encroachment accused group became violent and got into manhandling the police constables. Pratapnagar CI and 3 constables were injured in the clash and taken to MB Hospital. The miscreants also tore off the cloth curtains of the police jeep and pelted stones. The mob also tried to snatch the service revolver of CI Hanwant Singh but he somehow hung on to it.

The five arrested people include Sushil Kumar Jain, Rajkumar Jain, Arvind Singh, Ashish Thakur and Lalit Kumar. They have been booked under multiple sections of IPC.
