An accused injured a Police constable with a knife and managed to flee away from the scene. The injured constable was admitted in the hospital.

The incident happened yesteday evening behind Hotel Harsh Palace falling under Goverdhan Vilas Police station. Police constable Hemendra Singh was injured in the incident.

In his report, Hemendra said that he and his colleague Manohar Singh were out on duty on their Sigma bike. They received tip-off from an informer that Shantinagar, HiranMagri resident Fardeen alias Guddu s/o Sayyad Mohammad was sitting at a stall behind hotel Harsh Palace and planning some mischief.

Fardeen was also wanted by Hiran Magri and Goverdhan Vilas Police Station team in different cases. After the tip-off, Hemendra and Manohar reached the stall on one Sigma bike while two other police constables Ramswaroop and Madan Singh reached on other Sigma bike. They then surrounded Fardeen on all sides for arresting him.

Fardeen however took out a knife and attacked Hemendra on his head. Hemendra however just managed to evade the attack but still received a cut on his ear because of the attack.

Fardeen then managed to run away from the scene while the fellow constables of Hemendra rushed Hemendra to the hospital.
