Thieves in Udaipur have grown so fearless that they have started targeting houses even when the residents are sleeping inside the house. The target this time was of the house of Anand Parihar.

Parihar is the owner of Jodhpur Misthan Bhandar and also a post holder of the Congress party. Parihar and his family were sleeping in their house at Shobhagpura when thieves targeted their house and made away while the family was fast asleep.

The theft apparently took place between 2am and 5am today morning (Wednesday). Parihar said that all members in the house had gone to their respective rooms to sleep in night. Parihar was sleeping in his room on the first floor while his father was sleeping in his room in the ground floor.

When the family woke up in the morning, they found all items scattered in the hall. When the thieves did not find anything to take away, they decided to make away with the washing machine. They even took the washing machine out but decided to leave it and flee.

Thieves got inside the house by cutting the wire grill on their neighbour’s wall and then cutting tin shed and grill in their house. After entering into the household compound, they broke open the door to get inside. Thieves did not target the rooms where people were sleeping but got in rooms that were empty and in the hall area.
