Several scholars and educationists observed the function at Vidyapeeth today on the occasion of the 102nd Birth Anniversary of Pandit Janardan Rai Nagar, founder of Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University.
Pandit Janardan Rai Nagar, who was also well known as Jannu Bhai had initiated educating rural and under privileged people by Night Schooling Program. His dedication, confidence and keenness for teaching and instilling knowledge has marked as a pinnacle of competence.
While enlightening the work and dedication of Jannu Bhai, Professor S.S. Sarangdevot Vice Chancellor of Vidyapateeh said, “Jannu Bhai has ignited the flame of education in faraway and remote tribal areas of Mewar.”
“Jannu Bhai himself was not less than a gift, he spread the movement of education by installing several institutions in villages and tribal areas”, said Prof. Sarangdevot.
Professor Bhawani Shankar Garg, Chancellor of Vidyapeeth said, “Jannu Bhai strongly believed, Education and Freedom are two important aspects of democracy.”
Professor Satyanarayan Vyas, novelist, said, “where on one side Mahatama Gandhi was struggling for freedom, Jannu Bhai was lightning the lamp of education.”
“Pandit Janardan Rai Nagar’s education policies which were used in 1937 are still benefiting the society”, said Bhanvarlal Gurjar, Kul Pramukh.
The program took place at Vidyapeeths’ campus where Pandit Pandit Janardan Rai Nagar’s statute was garlanded.
