Harsha Bhogle, a new member of IIM Udaipur Board of Governors, attended the Board meeting on campus today. In addition to discussing institutional matters with the board, he also took out time for a brief chat with a student of IIM Udaipur. He spoke about the impact of analytics on cricket and sports in general. In addition, he spoke about how cricket commentating changed given easier access to data and analytics.

Apart from Bhogle, IIMU’s new board comprises of outstanding entrepreneurs and business leaders- D. Shivakumar, Group Executive President of Corporate Strategy & Business Development of Aditya Birla Management Corporation Pvt. Ltd.; Gita Nayyar, a senior finance professional and independent non-executive director on the board of various companies; Nirmal Jain, Chairman of the Board & Founder, IIFL Holdings Limited; Pranay Chulet, Founder & CEO, Quikr; Satyanarayan B. Dangayach, Former Managing Director, Sintex Industries Limited; and Suresh Naik Ramavath, a successful entrepreneur involved with retail, telecom and IT industry. Among eminent professionals who bring beyond the business experience to the board include Mythily Ramesh, Co-Founder and CEO, NextWealth; and Vidya Shah, CEO, EdelGive Foundation. In addition, Sanjay Kumar Sinha and Bhawani Singh Detha who have an exemplary record with the government are also part of the IIMU board.

Pankaj Patel, chairman and Managing Director, Cadila Healthcare is the chair of IIMU’s board.
