Beneshwar Mahakumbh-Tribal Day celebration on 9^th August is yet another event that draws lakhs of people from everywhere. Vibrant colours are the highlight of the adivasis (tribes) who gather in this fair making it just as colourful as the festival of Holi or the Hariyali Amavasya mela.

Dungarpur’s Beneshwar Dham is flocked by tribes of the region and many other areas. Following this, administration has made special arrangements and the divisional officers have been assigned the responsibility of organised the tribal mela in the best possible and safe way.

The tribal mahakumbh takes place on the confluence of Som and Mahi rivers. Tribes from Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat come to this mela and thousands of tourists also feel drawn to the colours. The fair comprises of tribal folk dances, magic shows and many other stunt performances by the tribes.  The fair basically reflects the customs and traditions of the tribes.
