Branding the City of Lakes as a budding IT hub won’t be untrue. The same is evident from the growing number of IT organizations, events, seminars, and conferences in the city. In fact, a slew of IT professionals from different corners of the country are now turning to Udaipur to not just build their professional career but to take the same to a new height. Be it the field of networking, development, designing, blogging, or digital marketing, the Venice of the East has something in its store for everyone.

One such biggest and prominent event is WordCamp Udaipur, which stages every year. Organized by WordPress Udaipur community, the event calls all the WordPress developers and enthusiasts to share their working experience, learnings  and the updates in the community. The community is now all geared for another event – A Workshop on Introduction to Open Source.

A casual event, the workshop will take place on 18th November 2018 from 10 AM to 3 PM at Seminar Hall, ECE Dept. CTAE Udaipur. The workshop endeavors to impart knowledge on Open Source software philosophy, where the participants will learn and explore how Open Source has changed the world we live in. Further, the workshop will answer the basic and advanced queries related to the discipline including GPL Software Licensing, the significance of WordPress for the users and contributors, and many more.

Apart from mere tech professionals, the Open Source workshop targets artists as well. There will be sessions where the artistic minds can learn to leverage Open Source technology and licensing for their work. The workshop is also beneficial for those who look forward to building a successful career in Open Source.

The registration for the workshop is completely FREE and the participants will be addressed by some of the renowned members of the WordPress community viz.
