Jain upvas and parna ceremonies concluded with the blessings of saint Sukumalnand ji with a large religious procession that passed through the streets of Udaipur.

Jain upvas and parna ceremonies concluded with the blessings of saint Sukumalnand ji with a large religious procession that passed through the streets of Udaipur.

Broadcasting Mantri of Chaturmas Samiti, Paras Chittora said that the people who were fasting were ferried on 40 ‘Bagghis’ in a large religious procession which was adorned with 2 elephants, 5 horses and 4 bands.

This procession, which started from Aadinaath Bhawan at 7 in the morning, passed through Agrawal Dharmshala, Paras Chauraha, Machhala Magra, old Indian oil petrol pump and reached Shahi complex in the end. Procession was welcomed everywhere.

Thousands of people, from many places in India, participated in the procession and they were welcomed everywhere they reached.

Rajni Dangi, Chairperson Udaipur Municipal Council and Chandrakala Bolia, Ward Councilor was present on the occasion.

Parna will also be conducted on October 2 for 29 ascetics who are still fasting for 32 and 16 days, 2012.
