Council for Fair Business Practices (CFBP) with Niki Hingad Art Foundation (NHAF) and Rotary Club Of Midcity, District 3141 has announced the commencement of its 8th annual online pan-India Inter School Drawing Competition 2019 titled ‘Perception’ and is inviting entries from schools and students from all over the country for partaking in the online art-drawing contest. The subjects of the art competition are aimed at inculcating the idea of spreading awareness towards social causes amongst children.

Participants can submit their paintings from any or all of the four themes that include – My World (My perception of an ideal world), The Right to a Healthy Life (Cancer- awareness), Save Water and Surrealistic World. The artwork is required to be hand painted in any choice of medium in colors and base materials and submitted to nhafworld@gmail.com or nhafnationals@gmail.com on or before 7th May, 2019.

“Art is the product of set beliefs, traditions and thinking across the world. Through this initiative, we hope to encourage all young artists to become socially aware of their environment and advance their knowledge about the right to lead a healthy life. We believe that art is a sole journey from an artist’s mind to the heart and has its own language of self-expression. This year’s themes are aimed at seeking subjective interpretations of children’s perspectives through their paintings,” says Ms. Niki Hingad, Founder, NHAF.

The competition is divided in two phases. In the first phase NHAF will receive the painting(s) from the participants, duly attested by their schools, along with other relevant information via email. In the second phase, the selected entries will be informed and these students will then have to courier the original paintings to the NHAF Office in Mumbai, which will be evaluated for the winning entry. All results will be declared by 15th May, 2019 through print and social media, CFBP-NHAF’s FB page and website -www.nhaf.co.in

All selected paintings in the phase 2 of the competition will compete for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and consolation positions. The entries will be segregated age-wise in four categories including ‘Veni A’ consisting of children between ages 5 and 7 years, ‘Veni B’ between 8 and 10 years, ‘Vidi’ for students aged 11 to 13 years and Vici for 14 to 17 year olds. All paintings are to be duly attested by students’ respective schools and accompanied with student’s name, age, competition category (Veni A, Veni B, Vidi or Vici), topic, address, contact number(s), email ID, school name, school’s email ID and student’s recent age ID proof. All entries will be judged by a panel of judges from the Sir J. J. School art fraternity and will be rated on the basis of creativity and originality of the artwork.

The winners across all four age groups will be awarded with medals and certificates and bestowed the title of ‘Art Maestro’ by the NHAF. The specially-abled students or students participating through NGOs too will be awarded with the same honors.

They include special artist level courses in Sketching, Charcoal, Calligraphy, Pen and Ink, Clay modeling, Water colors, Acrylic colors, Landscape, Portraits, Still life, Sculptures, etc. All children as from 5 – 17 years are benefitted with all these courses.
