An exhibition of modern art was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where 6 artists of Mewar also displayed their talents.

It was the occasion of inter-cultural exchange between The Art Pivot Foundation India and Visual Art Association of Malaysia, National Gallery of Modern Art. Director of Art Pivot Rajesh Yadav said that 4 compositions each from every artist are on a display in the world famous Hulo Art Gallery. These will be on display until 26th June.

Artists of Malaysia welcomed the Mewari artists in their own traditional way and artists from Lake City reciprocated by tying the Mewari turban on the heads of Malaysian artists. Lake City artists have even invited the Malaysian artists to Delhi for exhibition.

Rajesh Yadav informed that the exhibition was inaugurated by A. Aiynar , Director of Gallery of Modern Art and Subhash Chandra Bose Cultural centre of Malaysia. Udaipur artists who participated in the exhibition are Rajesh Yadav, Sushil Nimbark, Kiran Murdia, Mukesh Salvi, Hari Ram Kumavat and Shruti David.

A ten year contract was signed between The Art Pivot Foundation India and Visual Art Association of Malaysia. As per this contract Malaysian artists had held an exhibition in Udaipur earlier. Now Udaipur artists held an exhibition in Malaysia in Hulo Art Gallery. Apart from this a joint painting was made by both Mewari and Malaysian artists which is 30 feet long.
