A grand celebration will be organized in Gogunda to mark the 473rd Birth Anniversary of Maharana Pratap on 11th June. Gogunda, the place where the historical coronation of Maharana Pratap had taken place has great significance in the history of Mewar.
Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot and other ministers are expected to attend the program which is organized by Maharana Pratap Rajtilak Seva Samiti, the committee manages several social events and activities in Gogunda.
In a press conference held today at Durbar Hall, City Palace, Abhimanyu Singh Jhala, President of the committee informed about the schedule and all details about the program.
Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Patron of the committee was also present along with Lal Singh Jhala, President of District Congress (Rural).
The program in Gogunda will be consisted of a large procession which is going to start at 10:15am from Dak Bungalow, Gogunda and will pass through several localities and will conclude at the Coronation Place.
Abhimanyu Singh informed that the program is organized every year since last 6 years, which is socially uniting the people of Gogunda and also creating awareness about the historical events.
The committee is constantly working on betterment of the society, including education and career related programs.
More than 15000 people are expected to attend this program.
Among elite guests, Ashok Gehlot CM is likely to visit Gogunda along with Deependra Singh Shekhawat President Legislative Assembly; Mahendrajeet Singh Malwiya, State Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Raghuveer Singh Meena, MLA, Mangilal Garasia, Labour Minister are also going to attend the program.
