Heavy showers lashed Udaipur today evening and the phenomenon is expected to continue over the next 36-48 hours. The heavy showers are result of a cyclonic circulation brewing over Gujarat along with an active offshore trough that has developed over the west coast.
Combination of the two weather systems is expected to bring heavy rains in Udaipur, Dungarpur, Banswara, Kota, Bundi amongst other parts of Southern Rajasthan and Gujarat over the next couple of days.
The city has so far received very low rainfall and the cyclonic combination will only bring a much needed relief to Udaipurites.
The impact is expected to taper off post 23 July.
