Living in the backward tribal areas, many talented children are left behind because of lack of resources and facilities. Talented Neha with her high aspirations has managed to prove this wrong. She belongs to Chhani Gram Panchayat in Kherwara, a place with a population of 2 thousand. She has not merely proved herself, she will actually be flying to Paris for a 2 month internship for research work on Physics topic.
She is presently a student of IIT Mumbai pursuing M.Sc. Physics in the second year. Neha has had a deep longing to become a scientist since her childhood. This trip is her first step on the ladder of success. On her return from Paris, Neha will complete her M.Sc. and will then go abroad or stay in India for her Ph.D.
Neha’s village didn’t have proper education facilities, so she lived in Dungarpur with her grandfather and put her heart and soul into studies. Neha’s father Jai Rawal is a teacher who said that Neha has had a love for education since her childhood.
Her grandfather made efforts to take her away to Dungarpur so that she could study. In a rented room, Neha completed her 10th and 12th standard from a private school in which she appeared in the merit list. Thereafter, she did B.Sc. from the Science college. She got 40th position in IIT JAM without coaching which helped her in getting a seat in IIT Mumbai. She is now headed for the internship in Laboratory of Solid State Physics Institute in Paris.
