In order to save Fateh Sagar Lake from man made pollution, a concerned citizen has taken an initiative through social networking site Facebook.
Save Fateh Sagar, a facebook page invites all those who really care about the lake rather than just praising its beauty and move on.
Fateh Sagar is one of the most beautiful aspects of the City of Lakes Udaipur, but few (read many) gives no dime to that and treats it like their own possession, which they can use/pollute at will.
“Administration scribbled on the boards saying fine of Rs. 2000 on bathing/polluting lakes, but it seems like there is a reward of Rs. 2000 on doing it”, says Atul.
He added, people do not care and they take bath, wash clothes and spread litter in such a confident way that makes me think about what is the purpose of administration putting these hoardings and banners of not de-beautifying the lake.
Atul Mathur is a local resident and works as a Consultant with a leading firm. Atul wants to bring like-minded people under the shade of his Facebook Page with which he also plans to reach out to concerned administrative authorities.
“I tried to reach out to administrative and civic bodies with this issue, but having no contacts inside the nest of our conservator’s hub, it served no purpose”, spoke Atul.
However, the page is newly introduced and has minimal likes as of now, but Atul hopes that, in coming days, more and more people will reach out to his page and will join his brigade to Save Fateh Sagar from vanishing.
