There have been several reports of people getting fake calls from KBC and Sukanya Samriddhi Yojna. Udaipur public is getting messages on social media that promise a huge amount of money as reward on depositing a certain amount.

BEWARE-such calls are more likely to be fake as their intention is only to rob you off a dear amount that you earned through hard work. Cyber experts are constantly getting cases where people have been robbed online through false promises. As per cyber expert Shyam Chandel, people these days are getting calls in the name of Sukanya Samriddhi Yojna (SSY) and KBC. The caller asks you to deposit a certain amount of money (which is not a small amount) promising to reward you with huge amount of 25 lakh rupees or even more. A number of people have fallen prey to such calls and lost a lot of money.

A number of online fraud rackets are active these days which are robbing people. Messages regarding SSY talk of providing cheques to girls and in turn people are blindly circulating these links and sharing them as much as possible. It is quite shocking that the link shared with the SSY site is actually fake and public is losing money by following these links. The KBC calls promising to make a lucky winner out of you are coming from number +44971 and +301. These calls are asking people to deposit a certain amount to qualify for 25 lakh rupees as the winning amount. Public needs to be highly alert in these cases.

Certain websites appear to be government sites but they are not. SSY links ask you to forward the message to 10 people whereas the government project has no such condition.

To assure the authentication of a site, always check the https:/ link carefully. If the link is followed by a lock icon, then it is authentic and secured else not.
