St.Paul’s Senior Secondary school Udaipur celebrated its Annual Sports Day 2014 from 16th to 20th December as sports is considered to be an integral part of the school Curriculum. Along with academics St. Paul School also give importance to sports which help the students to be physically fit.
The event began with different sports activities of the primary section on 16th December which continued till the next day, whereas classes 5th to 12th had their athletic meets from 18th to 20th December.
Different competitions were held for various age group and separately for Boys and Girls. High jump, Long jump, 75m, 100m, 200m and 400m races were organised for the middle classes students. Besides this, the spoon and lemon race and sack race along with slow bicycle race were the special attraction for the kids.
The senior students had participated in 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m, long jump, high jump, slow cycle and 400 meter relay race.
The students said that in making them efficient in sports their PTIs Mukhesh, Bhanwar Singh Chauhan, Goverdhan Singh and Poonam Deora had played an important role due to which they reached new heights.
Gold, Silver and Bronze medals were awarded to the winners by the Principal Father Goerge V.J and some of the winners were awarded by the Bishop Father Dev Prasad Ganawa.
The running commentary during the sports day celebration was given by teacher Savi Maloo. A huge number of students had participated in the event.
The school is having 4 National Level players and 42 State Level players in different sports at present.
