Sukher Police have finally registered a case against Sharma Hospital, which is situated on the Bhuvana-Sukher road in Udaipur.  The case of negligence has been registered under variuos sections of the IPC, viz. 120B, 182, 187, 190, 338, 201, 417, 418, 420, 465, 467, 468 and 471.

This relates to a botched up procedure conducted by the doctors in the hospital, pertaining to an incomplete Kidney operation.

Narishavar Rao, a resident of Udaipur had visited Sharma Hospital in the month of March 2018 for a kidney stone operation. Narishavar Rao was operated on, but the procedure was botched up, resulting in a near fatal experience for Narishavar. He was immediately rushed to Ahmedabad, where his life was saved after a complicated procedure.

It was discovered during the tests conducted at Ahmedabad that the previous operation in Udaipur had resulted in damage to the kidney, along with wrong prescription of medicines.  Based on the complaint filed by the patient Narishavar Rao with the Medical Council of India, the MCI had earlier written to the Rajasthan Medical Council to look into the complaint and take necessary action.

Such a case of negligence had also been uncovered for a patient in Rajsamand, where the doctor from the hospital offered to return the money.
