Police Department:

Hari Prasad Sharma, Supritendent of Police, highlighted many loopholes in the master plan. Sharma emphasized importance of Collectory and Police line to maintain law and order in city and questioned the proposed plan to shift Collectorate and Police Line to some other distant location.

He suggested that instead of shifting Collectory and Police Line, Agriculture College located in the heart of city should be shifted, so that a huge occupied land could be used to strengthen road network and reduce traffic congestion of that area. He also added that a 4 times bigger land should be given to College at a distant location.

Municipal Corporation:

Rajni Dangi being the mayor of the city suggested keeping a provision for open parking spaces in and around city, developing better garden spaces in city areas with proper basic facilities and entertainment stuff for Children and families. Apart from this, Dangi expressed requirement of comparatively bigger trenching ground, so that solid wastes collected could be safely dumped.

Irrigation Department:

Ashok Babel, Superintendent Engineer, Irrigation Department said that 2031 master plan must also include provisions for water bodies; those water bodies which are in the city areas can be maintained as drinking water reservoirs to fulfil water needs of dwellers. “A water purification plant on identified lakes can also be developed”, said Babel.

Other Suggestions:

SajjanKatara, MLA Rural, Congress, suggested a parallel development of rural areas around the city must be kept in the master plan. He advocated provisions for better transport facilities and development of basic amenities. He also said that better employment opportunities must be developed in rural parts, so that comparatively a lesser number of people have to migrate to the city.

An independent road along the bank of Ayad River should be considered, starting from Thoker Chowraha to the Airport, as the present road is very congested and under immense traffic pressure; increasing heavy vehicles from Industrial area worsen traffic situation on that road.
