‘I also like to play games, study and be with my friends sahib but my family members take me along in the city to beg for alms,’ says Ramu with teary eyes.
On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi where most of the kids were seen clad in new clothes, many kids like Ramu were seen on the streets, outside temples asking for alms.
Gayatri Seva Sansthan, Nari Utthan Samiti and Police administration collaboratively worked towards beggar free movement in the city and worked towards removing the beggars from the temple premises. Also, the devotees were asked to not to give money to the beggars.
