The case of murder in Ambamata two days back when a youth was shot dead in broad day light continued to pick up momentum after the family refused to take the body of the victim after two days. The family demanded arrest of the accused and release of the victims’s father who has been locked up in jail.

Family members and friends of the victim gathered outside collectorate today morning and raised slogans. The family refused to take the body of the victim for last rites and demanded immediate arrest of the accused. The family raised serious allegations against the Ambamata Police saying that they were hand-in-glove with the accused and hence were not arresting them. The family also demanded that the victim’s father should be immediately released from jail as he has been falsely accused in another case and was innocent.

Readers may remember that one Gajendra Chhaparwal was shot down in a case of personal rivalry. His body has been lying in MB Hospital mortuary for last two days. Gajendra, himself, was jailed in case of a murder and was released on bail about a month back.
