Several banks across the country are going to stay closed from 26^th to 29^th September. Bank employees are going to be on strike on 26^th September and 27^th September against the merger of the banks. They also have certain demands. 4 bank unions will be on strike on Thursday and Friday i.e. 26^th and 27^th, 28^th September is 4^th Saturday which is a bank holiday and 29^th September is Sunday.

As informed by the Regional Secretary of State Bank of India Officers Association, the strike will begin past midnight of 25^th September and will be carried on until 27^th Sept. Members of 4 unions- All India Bank Officers’ Confederation (AIBOC), All India Bank Officers’ Association (AIBOA), Indian National Bank Officers Congress (INBOC) and National Organization Of Bank Officers NOBO will be on strike.

As informed by Lead bank manager Balendu Prasad, the strike has nothing to do with Lead bank. He also said that ATMs will have sufficient cash but trouble may arise only if they fall short of cash. Whether the strike will happen or not will be finalised on 25^th Sept.
