Bikaner was in for a terror on Sunday morning when tremors at 4.5 Richter scale were experienced around 10:36 a.m. The tremors lasted for barely 3 seconds. People rushed out of their houses as the doors, windows, fans etc. started shaking all of a sudden. The effect of earthquake could be experienced until Jaipur which is around 267 kms from Bikaner. No casualties have been reported in this earthquake so far.

Residents of Jaisalmer, Barmer Hanumangarh and Sriganganagar also felt the tremors. The mud houses on Bikaner have also reported cracks and some people working in the famous bhujiya factory said that they felt nauseatic during the tremors.
