An unowned car was spotted in public parking area at Kailsahpuri temple. The Scorpio vehicle was covered with a cloth and had illegal material inside.

As informed to police, the car was in the parking area since a long time. When Sukher police checked the car, it consisted of 328 kgs of opium powder, 4 live cartridges and 6 fake vehicle registration plates. The car bears Jaipur number plate RJ-14-UD-8837 and the plates found inside the Scorpio bear registrations of Chittor, Jaipur, Udaipur and Maharashtra.

Police found out from the chassis number that the owner of the Scorpio is Arun Kumar Pandey from Lucknow in the state of Uttar Pradesh. They are now trying to find out whether the owner has filed a stolen-vehicle complaint or not. There are all the probabilities that the culprits used to change the number plates as per the states so as to appear local and avoid being caught for checking.
