Udaipur is revolutionizing the cleanliness drive in its own unique way, said the Study Group that came from Finland on a visit to Kathar Panchayat area.

The 9 member group visited each house of the panchayat and conversed with local people. They were fascinated to witness an area that is free from open defecation. The group was informed about how the locals fetch water from well and fill the tanks. Also, they were delighted to watch elderly, young and children responsible towards maintaining the cleanliness of the area.

The group was accompanied with UNICEF representative Rishabh Bhivani, Shweta (Delhi), Kumar Bikram, Mahendra Singh Chauhan, Sarpanch Sushila Kunwar, Finish Society’s Naval, Panchayat secretary Shambhu Singh and Bhopalsingh Maujawat explained the cleanliness campaign.

It is to consider that Kathar has become Udaipur district’s first ever panchayat to be titled as open-defecation free zone.
