Moving strictly ahead with the anti-encroachment drive, UIT removed the encroachments from the bed of Ayad River on Friday. UIT Secretary Ujjwal Rathore said that people living in Lakhawali area had moved further ahead in the river bed and extended their field area by constructing boundary walls in the river area. They were sent notices by UIT which went ignored. The anti-encroachment teams then went ahead with the demolition process and the 5 boundary walls that were constructed by owners were demolished on Friday.
