Gujarat Govt intends to start Ahmedabad-Udaipur flight

In response to a query in State Legislative Assembly, Gujarat State Government said that it plans to provide connectivity to 15 different locations from Ahmedabad, Surat, Keshod, Jamnagar and other places in Gujarat.

In response to a query in State Legislative Assembly, Gujarat State Government said that it plans to provide connectivity to 15 different locations from Ahmedabad, Surat, Keshod, Jamnagar and other places in Gujarat. This connectivity is intended to be provided under the UDAN scheme.

State Government informed that it was exploring 15 new sectors under UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik) scheme. This includes connectivity from Ahmedabad to Udaipur, Kishangarh and Belgaum.

Gujarat State Government also talked about plan to start seaplane services under UDAN scheme from Sabarmati riverfront, Shetrunji dam and Surat to Statue of Unity.

The Government informed that it had already started helicopter services providing aerial views of Statue of Unity. State Government intends to make helicopter service a regular feature and fare for five-seater helicopter ride will be decided shortly.
