A massive heap of expired medicines was found near marble slurry dumping yard in Chitrakoot nagar. The people who dumped the expired medicines are yet to be identified.

Senior Professor of Water Management in Stockholm Dr Nandita Singh was surveying the old and recent situation of lakes and the catchment areas. She was on rounds with Tej Shankar Paliwal who is a prominent member of Lake Development Authority in Udaipur. When they reached near the marble slurry dumping yard in Chitrakoot nagar, they were shocked to find heaps of medicines in the catchment area of Roopsagar. The medicines were outdated and the boxes were burnt. Ideally the outdated medicines should not be disposed in open areas and issues were raised even earlier regarding expired medicines being disposed off in the catchments.
