A loco pilot is to be felicitated by railways for saving lives of passengers. Showing his presence of mind, loco pilot Sohan Lal Sukhwal who hails from Udaipur saved the lives of around 3000 passengers by stopping the train in an emergency situation. Sohan Lal was steering the train going from Delhi to Ahmedabad. The speed of the train number 12916 Ashram Superfast Express was 110 km/hr. It was on 11 may when the loco pilot saw a huge tree on the railway track. Showing his presence of mind, Sukhwal stopped the train in emergency mode and stopped a big accident which otherwise would have proved to be fatal for the passengers aboard. He will be felicitated with Ajmer Mandal Utkrasht Karmachari award for his brave act. It may be noted that Sukhwal is serving Indian Railways since last 30 years.
